GoWest Hosting (“GoWest”) is a business-to-business information technology service provider, offering web hosting solutions including dedicated servers, shared servers, and virtual private servers (“Services”) from our central data center location in Denver, Colorado.
Your privacy is important to us. It is GoWest’s policy to respect the privacy of all visitors (“Visitors”) to the GoWest website located at https://gowesthosting.com and other sites we own and operate, as well as that of our customers ("Subscribers"). For this reason, GoWest collects and uses personal data only as needed for delivery of services and information. This Privacy Policy discloses the information that is collected from Visitors and/or Subscribers, and the choices a Visitor or Subscriber has with respect to that information.

The information that GoWest collects in connection with our Services is hosted on servers located in the United States (U.S.), unless otherwise provided. By using these Services, you freely and expressly give GoWest your consent to export your information and data to the U.S.
Information We Collect
We only ask for personal information when we truly need it, to provide services and improve the customer experience. This information is always collected by fair and lawful means, with the customer’s knowledge and consent, and is only used for purposes of normal business operations.
Subscriber Details
Subscribers are required to provide certain personal information including name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and billing information (such as a credit card number) when signing up for GoWest Services.. For domain name registration, this information may be submitted to a third-party domain registry service or registration database as “Domain Name Registration” information.
Cookies and Data Tracking
GoWest uses cookies or similar services to analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movements around the website and to gather demographic information. You may control the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. If you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain functions on the Website.

GoWest offers password-protected, web-based management tools as part of its hosting packages.
Website Performance and Customer Experience
GoWest uses "performance cookies" to inform GoWest of a repeat visit. However, these cookies do not tell GoWest who a visitor is, the visitor's name, email address, or passwords.
Advertising Cookies
GoWest may also utilize "advertising cookies" to track referrals from internal and external affiliates, as well as advertising campaigns. Use of Information
Information collected by GoWest is primarily used to manage subscriptions and billing, and to collect payment for Services. Any passively collected information from or about your device is used to provide a customized experience as you use GoWest's services.
Statistics and Web Analytics
GoWest uses information gathered from its website analytics including User IP addresses to deliver and optimize website content. Similar information is also gathered in GoWest’s server logs and traffic monitoring software, used to diagnose and monitor server problems and performance. GoWest may also collect general demographic information to help improve customer experience. Any statistical or logged data gathered by GoWest is never shared with other parties, other than is standardly available to the providers of those services (e.g. Google Analytics).
Subscriber Information
Any information collected from Subscribers is used for management of the Subscriber's account and to promote other products or services that GoWest believes may be of interest to its Subscribers. GoWest may, in certain instances, use aggregated and non-identifying information from information provided by Subscribers during registration, to promote advertisements that appear on GoWest's website and in connection with its services. This information, along with any analysis done by GoWest, is never shared with other parties.
Customer Surveys
GoWest may aggregate information provited in customer surveys for the purposes of analytics or customer communications. GoWest may also contact you in response to your feedback.
Sharing of Information
With the exception of trusted business partners who work with or on behalf of GoWest, and are subject to specific confidentiality agreements, GoWest will not provide or sell to any third-party your personal information and will keep all Subscriber information confidential, subject to the following:
Third-Party Services
Upon registration for GoWest services, certain Subscriber information may be transferred to trusted affiliated or unaffiliated third parties that help GoWest provide certain services or that provide certain services on GoWest's behalf. For example, Subscriber information may be transferred to GoWest's affiliated registrar, eNom (WHOIS Domain Name Registration Information), or to unaffiliated third parties that help GoWest provide email services or SSL certifications.
Website Advertising
GoWest does not share personally identifiable information about individual users with advertisers. GoWest may display online advertisements and share aggregated and non-identifying information about Subscribers collected through the registration process or through online surveys and promotions with certain advertisers. This aggregated and non-identifying information may be used to deliver tailored advertisements. For example, an advertiser may specify a target demographic audience, and provide GoWest with an advertisement tailored to that audience. Based upon the aggregated and non-identifying information collected by GoWest, GoWest may then display the advertisement to the intended audience.
Affiliates and Sponsors
Some services are offered or promoted in conjunction with a GoWest partner or sponsor. GoWest may partner with trusted non-affiliated partners for co-promotions of a particular product or service. GoWest may share certain Subscriber contact information but no billing information with GoWest's partner or sponsor in order to provide the relevant services or to run the promotion. If GoWest shares Subscriber information with partners and sponsors, GoWest requires that they maintain the Subscriber information in confidence, and use the information solely for purposes of providing the services or carrying out the agreed upon promotion.
Domain Name Registration
In certain jurisdictions or pursuant to the rules of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN") or certain registries, Domain Name Registration Information has to be made available and accessible to the public through a "WHOIS" search. The WHOIS database is a publicly accessible database that lists the Domain Name Registration Information for a particular domain name, the name server(s) to which the domain name points, and the domain name's creation and expiration date. The Domain Name Registration Information you provide is hosted by GoWest or a third party service provider and is made available to the public through WHOIS searches. GoWest may deposit your Domain Name Registration Information with a third-party escrow provider to comply with ICANN requirements. At times, Subscribers may receive solicitations that result from searches of the publicly available WHOIS database by other companies or individuals. Any such solicitations or SPAM do not come from GoWest and GoWest does not control the use of WHOIS information by third parties.
Legal Responsibilities
GoWest may access, preserve and share Subscriber information with companies, organizations, governmental entities or individuals outside of GoWest if we believe, in good faith, that the law requires us to do so. This may include, but is not limited to, responding to subpoenas, court orders or other legal processes (such as law enforcement requests). GoWest may access, preserve and share Subscriber information as necessary to: establish or exercise GoWest's legal rights or defend against any legal claim including threatened claims involving GoWest based on the anonymity of a domain name; investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected fraud or other illegal activities; prevent death or serious physical harm to any person; or investigate violations of GoWest's Terms of Service.
Privacy and Data Management Options
Unsubscribe or Opt-Out
When becoming a Subscriber of GoWest, you are automatically subscribed to receive transactional notices and other communications specific to your account, along with email newsletters and news of special promotions offered through GoWest and/or in conjunction with GoWest's partners.
To unsubscribe from GoWest newsletters and promotional mailings, please use the convenient links provided directly in the email message footer, if applicable, or contact any GoWest support agent. You may unsubscribe to any promotional messages using the links provided in the email messages sent by GoWest or on GoWest's behalf.
Access or Modify Stored Information
GoWest allows you to access, update, and correct inaccuracies in your personal information in GoWest's custody and control, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law. You may request access, updating and corrections of inaccuracies in your personal information GoWest has in its custody or control by accessing the GoWest billing and support portal, or by contacting support via email, phone or online chat. GoWest may request certain personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to their records.
To ensure you receive the information you need to manage your account and protect your privacy, please be sure to keep your contact and billing information up to date. You can update all account-related information directly through your server control panel or the GoWest billing and support portal.
Data Security
Encryption
When a Subscriber orders from GoWest, personal data transmissions are encrypted and all of the Subscriber's personal information is protected. GoWest uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for encrypting all personal information, including name, address and credit card numbers.
Data Retention
We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide your requested services. All information collected is stored and protected within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
Applicable to All Reseller Relationships
In addition to all of the terms and conditions set forth above, the following terms apply to GoWest Reseller relationships only.
Information Related to Data Collected through Resellers
GoWest may collect information under the direction of Resellers, and GoWest has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data is provided, processed or obtained by GoWest's Resellers. Customers who seek to access or delete inaccurate data should attempt to resolve the matter with the Reseller before contacting GoWest directly. If the Reseller requests that GoWest remove the data, GoWest will respond to such request within thirty (30) business days.
Opting out of Reseller Services
If you are a customer of one of GoWest's Resellers and would no longer like to be contacted by such Reseller, please contact the Reseller from whom you purchased products or services. In the event you are unable to satisfactorily resolve such a request with a GoWest reseller, please provide GoWest with your account information as well as that of the reseller, that we may attempt to assist.
Reseller Data Retention
GoWest retains personal data it processes on behalf of GoWest's Resellers for as long as needed to provide services under the relationship. GoWest will retain and use this personal information as necessary to comply with GoWest's legal obligations, resolve disputes, and to enforce its agreements.
